Caring for a pet is a lot more than setting out a bowl for them and taking them on the occasional walk. You must remember that your pet needs to be cared for by grooming just as you do. Having a healthy coat and good teeth is essential for their long term health. Here are a few tips to groom your pet in the best possible way.

Pitcher

Shampooing your pet is not always easy, but it can be made easier with the use of a pitcher. You can shampoo and rinse them with a pitcher instead of using a shower or faucet, which can cause fear or anxiety, especially in cats. Usually the easier the water comes down on them the less nervous they will be. If you have a pet that likes the water then this point might be moot, but if they don’t, a pitcher will help the rinsing portion of the bath.

Fleas

Flea prevention is an essential component of pet ownership. The best thing you can do is wash the pet and their bedding every week, as well as any dog costumes they may have worn. In addition to that, you can use a flea comb every week. The combined time it takes to do everything is no more than an hour or two and it could end up saving you a lot of money in the cost of flea treatments.

The Allure of the Ball Python

You might want to hang onto your hat when you find out what one of the biggest exotic pets are on the market. It’s the Ball Python. Yes, it’s an animal like that. That might have taken you aback but you have to admit that you are pretty interested. So if you want to know about this animal than listen up because this is where things get interesting.

First, the ability to buy a ball python is very easy. These snakes are not endangered and they can be found at many exotic pet stores. They are amazing creatures and while at first you may have some initial hesitation you have to be willing to give them a chance.

Of course don’t think that you can get a python for cheap. While you can get them at many places you’d have to shell out a big check for over forty grand. That is no small amount of money. They are interesting and they do require a bit of care. One of the things that they require is a 30 gallon tank. While you might let your dog roam free, you cannot do the same with your python.

They do require a bit of food. You have to feed them dead rats or mice every ten days, but the good news is that these gorgeous creatures will live for around 40 years. If you like snakes and you would be willing to have one of them as your pet than this is clearly the snake for you.

The Fun of Squirrel Monkey

You have probably always dreamed of a day when you could have a pet of your own and now that the day has come you are thinking just a little bit outside the box. Yes, this is a common way of feeling and one that you should embrace. This will give you the change to think about the exotic pet. One of the better pets out there that would qualify would be the Squirrel Monkey.

You should have no trouble finding this animal. There are sellers in abundance and they are not endangered. You can have one for a pretty decent price and they will age well and live quite a while. If you want the biggest upside to the squirrel monkey it would be their loving and attentive nature that makes them easy to house train. This is also because they are one of the least intelligent of their species.

Of course having one of these cute little guys isn’t as fun as you might think. The ugly truth is that there are plenty of squirrels out there who like to mark their territory. The squirrel monkey will pee on anything it deems to be it’s territory, even if it’s you. However, since they are so easy to house train it’s something that you are likely to rid them off within a matter of weeks.

This pet is one of the best pets on the planet to own. Everyone is buying a dog these days, but you should think outside the box and get one of these cute little guys.

The Best Exotic Pets

Perhaps you are looking for the best pets on the planet, but you don’t really want to waste your time with the usual fare of dogs and cats. You can get them anywhere, and at any time. What you need are the best pets of a different kind. You need exotic pets and the good news is that there are no shortage of pets like that on the market. With the influx of the internet and person to person sellers you can find every pet every time you want.

Sugar Gliders are great pets and one of the better parts about them is that they can be easily found. While many of other exotic pets are on the endangered list, called the red list, the sugar glider is considered a lower risk pet. They are just over five ounces and they come from Australia. They are as cute as they are lively.

Now, if you are going to take a sugar glider into the home you had better have some vines and branches. These guys like to get from place to place and they aren’t happy being enclosed. Once you have got the requisite equipment to allow them free reign you will be able to make them comfortable in the new home. You can’t go wrong with a pet like this.  The only drawback is that these pets like to spit out the food they don’t need but if you can get past that then everything else is good to go.
